‘90s Frankfurt party, Wild Pitch Club, celebrated in new Running Back compilation

The new compilation captures the spirit of Frankfurt's famous '90s party

The release includes 26 tracks of vintage house and garage music in both mixed and unmixed formats

A new compilation that aims to capture the spirit of ‘90s Frankfurt club night, Wild Pitch Club, has been announced via Running Back

The release, which includes 26 tracks of vintage house and garage music in both mixed and unmixed formats, has been compiled by Ata, co-founder of Wild Pitch Club, and nd_baumecker, a resident at Panorama Bar

Featured artists on the compilation include Deep 6, Kings Of Tomorrow, and Ralph Falcon, with a double-vinyl, cassette and digital versions set to be released 24th February 2023.

Founded in the 1990s, Wild Pitch Club was a centrepiece of Frankfurt’s club culture. As the brainchild of Playhouse masterminds, Ata and the late Heiko MSO, the night was held at Nachtleben-Club on Thursdays and was considered the first club night in Frankfurt dedicated to deep house.

Throughout the 1990s, the club night featured performances from DJs such as Robert Hood, Claude Young, Kerri Chandler, and Theo Parrish, among others. Wild Pitch Club ran until In 1999. Ata later went on to launch the influential club, Robert Johnson.

The compilation offers an authentic snapshot of ‘90s club culture in Frankfurt, capturing the spirit and vibe of house music in vinyl, digital and cassette.
