Jamie xx and Honey Dijon share collaborative single, ‘Baddy on the Floor’
The pair started working on the track through video calls during the pandemic
Jamie xx and Honey Dijon have linked up on a new single, ‘Baddy on the Floor’.
Out now via Young, the track was premiered on BBC Radio 1 yesterday, accompanied by an interview with Jamie xx. In the interview, the English DJ and producer disclosed that he is in the final stages of completing his second album, slated for release sometime this year.
The new single, teased to fans during Jamie xx’s All Points East set in 2021, marks the first collaboration between the two artists. According to the press release, the two stayed in touch during the pandemic and began working on the track through video calls.
‘Baddy On The Floor’ follows a string of singles dropped by Jamie XX over the last few years, including 2020’s ‘idontknow’, 2022’s ‘LET’S DO IT AGAIN’ and ‘KILL DEM’, as well as ‘It’s So Good’, which dropped earlier this year.
Jamie xx and Honey Dijon are both slated to play Glastonbury this year, alongside Faithless, Orbital, Eliza Rose, and more.
