Waves have introduced a rent-to-own system for their mixing plugins. The new infastructure called Flex allows Waves users and wannabe users to pay $19.99 a month to 'rent' 10 plugins from the mixing giants. For a limited time you can also add three more plugins to your package, taking the total to 13. After 24 months of renting the plugs, they are then yours to own and users can unsubscribe, or add more plugins to their package and continue renting.

The new subscription model was announced yesterday and includes the SSL Channel Strip, Buss Compressor, DrumStrip, VocalStrip, X-Comp, X-EQ and more.
