Madness frontman admits band member locked Calvin Harris in a portable toilet
All because he wouldn't sign an autograph...
Madness' Graham 'Suggs' McPherson has admitted during an interview at V Festival that a member of Madness locked Calvin Harris in a festival toilet after the Scottish EDM star refused to sign an autograph.
McPherson recalled the incident, which happened several years ago at Bestival, during an interview at this past weekend's V Festival in Hylands Park, Essex.
"It wasn’t me, but it was a member of my band,’ Suggs admitted. "Calvin refused to sign an autograph for our sax player Lee’s daughter, so he put a scaffolding pole against the toilet."
McPherson later explained that he had nothing to do with the incident and doesn't condone that sort of behaviour.
"I would never condone that sort of behaviour, I think it’s really out of order," he said.
It's not the first time Harris — who is the world's highest paid DJ — has suffered a toilet-related incident at the hands of another band at a festival, he was famously tipped upside down in a toilet by Reverend And The Makers after a falling-out at Bingley Festival.
Moral of the story? Never refuse an autograph if you're then planning to use the toilet.
