Glastonbury reveals how and when to buy tickets for 2019

Glastonbury have announced that tickets for their 2019 festival will be going on sale in the first week of October.

After a fallow year in 2018, punters will be able to buy a coach package for 2019's festival from Thursday 4^th October, or standard tickets from Sunday 7^th October.

Fans have to register an account with the site, including uploading a passport-style photo, in order to buy tickets, a system designed to prevent ticket touting according to the organisers. 

The festival recommend ticket-buyers complete their registration by Friday 28^th September, to allow time for the registration to go through. Registration will officially close at noon on Monday 1^st October.

The legendary festival, taking place from Wednesday 26^th June to Monday 1^st July 2019, will feature music of nearly every genre as usual, with arts, culture and a buffet of revelry besides.

Glastonbury will also be banning plastic bottles at the 2019 festival, in an attempt to be more environmentally friendly.
