Fatboy Slim features in the finale of Channel 4's acclaimed Northern Ireland-set comedy Derry Girls. The sixth episode of the show's third series aired on Tuesday, 17th May.

The final episode of the award-winning show (not counting the one-hour special, 'The Agreement', which aired on Wednesday) follows its five teenage protagonists as they prepare for 1997's Halloween festivities and try desperately to secure tickets to a gig at St Columb's Hall, headlined by Fatboy Slim.

"He's bigger than God," quips Saoirse-Monica Jackson's character, Erin, in the episode before labelling the DJ, aka Norman Cook, "a modern-day Beethoven". Fatboy tracks such as 'Gangster Trippin’', 'Right Here, Right Now', 'The Rockafeller Skank' and 'Praise You' all feature in the episode.

Over the course of the show's three seasons, cultural iconography has played a huge part in setting the Derry Girls scene, with its soundtrack featuring tracks by Underworld, The Cranberries, 2 Unlimited, Blur, Cypress Hill, Sister Sledge, CeCe Peniston and many more.

Watch a clip from the episode below, or watch it in full via Channel 4's on-demand service All 4.

Earlier this month, Fatboy Slim announced a new festival planned for Minehead, Somerset, in November 2022.
