With its winning festival season, picturesque islands and vibrant club scene, Croatia has become an essential dance music destination in recent years. Noa Beach Club, perched on Zrce Beach on the island of Pag, is a vital part of that transformation. One of a few Top 100-polling clubs on the idyllic Zrce strand, Noa’s remit is mostly stadium-filling EDM acts, but it’s also played host to some tech-house bigwigs in recent times. Last summer, tropical/future house hero Lost Frequencies, US superstar Steve Aoki and hard dance man Coone all played, while pre-parties for Sonus Festival featured more underground DJs like Mind Against and Enzo Siragusa.
Like some of Ibiza’s biggest venues, there’s an emphasis on glitz and glamour at Noa, and clubbers can swan around between 11 bars and a swimming pool, take in a massage or just lounge in a cabana and soak up the sounds. There’s even a private yacht marina for those with bottomless pockets.
A key event for Noa is Black Sheep Festival, which takes place across four clubs on the beach and last year featured headliners like NERVO and Carnage, but a festival-like atmosphere pervades at all times at Noa, which opens daily in summer and doesn’t close its doors until at least 6am.
