UK rave exhibition, Sweet Harmony, has come to Manchester
It follows on from its run at London's Saatchi Gallery earlier this year
Sweet Harmony, the UK rave-focused exhibition which was a hit at London's Saatchi Gallery over the summer, has travelled up to Manchester for a brief spell at the city's recently launched Depot At Mayfield venue.
The venue, which is also home to The Warehouse Project, is currently hosting an updated version of the exhibition kicking off on Sunday, December 8th and running through until Wednesday, December 11th. Dubbed Sweet Harmony Warehouse / Art Edit for its updated stay, the latest stop has come about as the result of a collaboration between The Warehouse Project, Highsnobiety and high street store size?
All ages are welcome at the exhibition which is running each day from midday until 7pm. You can snap up free tickets before it finishes here.
Sweet Harmony focuses on the acid house explosion of the late '80s and early '90s in the UK, and the evolution of rave culture since. Manchester's scene, particularly the Haçienda club, is a key part of the history it covers, and this updated take also view rave through the lens of fashion.
Rave historian Gabber Eleganza recently entered the merch game by selling a limited edition rave whistle made out of pure silver.
