Tomorrowland offer discounted tickets to 2021 festival for Tomorrowland Winter attendees

Tomorrowland Winter was cancelled this week

Tomorrowland will offer discounted tickets to next year's main festival for Tomorrowland Winter attendees.

Tomorrowland Winter was cancelled earlier this week due to concerns over the spread of novel coronavirus, or COVID-19. It was due to run from 14th to 21st March in Alpe d’Huez. Although the resort remains open for those who purchased tickets, and ski passes remain valid, Tomorrowland announced: “The French Government is taking drastic measures regarding the COVID-19 virus in France. Therefore they are enforcing the cancellation of large events, bringing together people from different nationalities on closed festival grounds and event locations.”

For those who no longer wish to attend, a full refund is being offered. Tomorrowland have also shared that those who had purchased tickets to Tomorrowland Winter 2020 will have a first chance to buy tickets for the Winter festival in 2021, as well as a chance to buy tickets for the flagship Belgian festival in Summer 2021. Ticket holders can also expect to recieve a €50 voucher for the Tomorrowland merchandise store.

The news follows the cancellation of Ultra Music Festival in Miami, also due to concerns over the spread of novel coronavirus, or COVID-19. The festival was set to take place from 20th to 22nd of this month.

The event is said to have been postponed, possibly for a year, which would essentially cancel Ultra Miami in 2020. It would be the first time the festival hasn't taken place since it first started in 1999.
