There’s a festival in a World War II aircraft museum in December
From the teams behind Splash House and Coachella, with Jayda G, TSHA, Dixon, and more on the lineup
A new dance music festival, Desert Air, will take place in a World War II aircraft museum in Southern California this December.
The event will run on 10th and 11th December at The Palm Springs Air Museum in the California desert, with the San Jacinto Mountains providing a spectacular backdrop. The confirmed line-up includes Jayda G, Moodymann, Peggy Gou, The Martinez Brothers, TSHA, Perel, Dixon, Chris Stussy, and Chennel Tres.
Splash House — a West Coast US festival series — and Goldenvoice, the team behind Coachella, are responsible for the two-day festival, with tickets on sale from Friday 24th September, including VIP and hotel packages. As per the website information, proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required for entry.
The landmark venue is located to the side of Palm Springs International Airport, and houses one of the largest collections of World War II warplanes on the planet, covering a 70,000 square foot area. Facilities include three huge hangars, a dedicated theatre, and exhibition spaces featuring aviation artwork from NASA-commissioned artist Stan Stokes, whose pieces can also be found in no less than three presidential libraries across the US.
