THE BLACK MADONNA ANNOUNCES FIRST ORIGINAL MATERIAL IN TWO YEARS

‘He Is The Voice I Hear’ lands on the Chicago native’s new label, We Still Believe, this week...

The Black Madonna has announced in a post on Facebook that she is set to release ‘He Is The Voice I Hear’, her first original material in two years. The single is set to drop on her new label, We Still Believe, this Thursday (10th November).

In the extensive Facebook post that announced ‘He Is The Voice I Hear’, which you can read in full below, The Black Madonna, real name Marea Stamper, calls the single her first “all new work” since 2013’s ‘Lady Of Sorrows’ EP, as 2014 records including ‘Stay’ and ‘Exodus’ were edits.

Speaking about the new release, Stamper said, “I have always felt, where making records was concerned, that it was better to say nothing than to rush and put out a lot of music that didn’t say much at all. But now it’s time to share something with you that has been the most exciting project I’ve ever worked on.”

‘He Is The Voice I Hear’ will be released at Gramaphone Records in Chicago this Thursday 10th November, as part of an in-store launch party, before going on sale online on Friday 11th November.
