Swing Ting announce debut album, ‘100 Dances’

Samrai & Platt, of the eponymous celebrated Manchester party, collective and label, deliver their debut production LP

Swing Ting duo Samrai & Platt will drop their debut album, ‘100 Dances’, in March.

It's the first long-form release produced entirely by the pair, who are central figures behind Manchester's celebrated 11-year-old dancehall, bass, garage and soundsystem session, Swing Ting, and the accompanying label.

The LP features appearances from a host of friends, with HMD, EVABEE, Fox & [K S R] and Trigga representing the crew's hometown. Elsewhere, RTKal, Thai-Chi Rosè, Gemma Dunleavy, Kiyano and Shanique Marie — better known as part of Equiknoxx — reveal wider British, Irish and international connections the collective have garnered, from New York to Dublin to Jamaica.

In October the imprint delivered the debut album from MC Fox. Swing Ting also appeared in our in-depth feature on the new school of UKG, after previously declaring speed garage the 'greatest dance music genre of all time'
