Suzi Analogue, Turkana and Queens D. Light team up on new track for Never Normal & ANTI-MASS compilation: Listen

The 'Gukuba' compilation will be released in January 2022

Suzi Analogue, Turkana and Queens D. Light have collaborated on a new track for a forthcoming Never Normal & ANTI-MASS compilation. Listen to 'Make It Shake' below.

'Make It Shake' is the second single to be unveiled from the 'Gukuba' compilation, following the release of 'Desserts' by US producer Safiyahh and Uganda’s Nsasi back in November,

'Gukuba' will be released in January 2022, and is the result of over a year’s worth of musical exchanges between East African and Afro-Diasporic artists in the USA. As explained by the collectives, the compilation aims to focus “on new approaches to dance, sound and rhythms between Africa and the global Black Diaspora.”

Throughout the compilation, which will feature music from artists including Suzi Analogue, Authentically Plastic, Turkana, Nsasi, Tayhana and more, sounds will “span the sonic stories and cultural backgrounds of the 10 collaborators featured on the project.”

A blend of East African rhythms, hip-hop and house, you can listen to 'Make It Shake' below. Miami-based, Haitian-American contemporary artist Mwanel Pierre-Louis created the single's artwork.
