Having always kept one foot in the world's of grime and drum & bass, Manchester DJ, producer and MC, Chimpo, is always at his best when combining the two.
Latest effort 'War Tanker' does just that, stuffing the bone-crunching beats and signature bleeps of grime into a punchy, half-time d&b package.
Forthcoming on Critical Music, the track is taken from the Mancunian's new collaborative EP with label staple Sam Binga. 'For Those Who Like It Sweet' offers five tracks (two solo efforts and three joint), showcasing the duo's shared talent for big basslines, oddball percussion and telling genre boundaries to do one!
