Stormzy wins Best Video at UK MVAs

A$AP Rocky, FKA Twigs and Rosalía also took home awards

Stormzy has won Best Video at this year's UK Music Video Awards.

After a string of releases throughout 2019, including 'Sounds Of The Skeng' and 'Wiley Flow', Stormzy scooped the award for Best Video for his track 'Vossi Bop' released earlier this year.

The visuals, set against different backdrops in London and featuring a cameo from Idris Elba, also saw director Henry Scholfield, who directed Wiley's 'Boasty' music video, recieve the award for Best Director.

Among the other winners on the night were Rosalía, who won Best Pop Video, FKA Twigs, A$AP Rocky, and Salvatore Ganacci, who took home the award for Best Dance Video.

Following his history-making headline appearance at Glastonbury this summer, the stab vest Stormzy wore on stage appeared in Croydon as part of a Banksy installation.

The London MC also announced earlier this year that he would be continuing his Cambridge University scholarship program, which will fund the degrees of two students.
