Robert Hood’s ‘Waveform Transmission Vol. 2’ gets 30th anniversary Tresor reissue

Robert Hood's seminal LP 'Waveform Transmission Vol. 2' is set for a 30th-anniversary reissue via Tresor.

Originally released under the alias The Vision, Hood's 1993 album will get a new, 2XLP re-release via the legendary Berlin techno imprint on 26th May.

Released via Tresor in the same year he left Underground Resistance (UR) and his hometown of Detroit, the album represented a pivotal moment in Hood's career. Settling in New York with fellow UR co-founder Jeff Mills saw Hood experimenting with a new work ethos through which he settled on his trademark sound.

Remastered by Thomas P. Heckmann, the reissue will also be available digitally on streaming platforms for the first time. News of the reissue comes after Tresor announced a new compilation to celebrate its 350th release.

In the sleeve notes for the 30th-anniversary of 'Waveform Transmission Vol. 2,' Hood dedicated the release to "the form of simplicity, the reasoning of vision, the understanding of where we came from and how we got here and to the perspective we use to construct over destiny."
