The raves in a prison at Amsterdam Dance Event have been cancelled
Safety concerns have brought down the prison party...
The raves due to be held at the former Bijlmer prison in Amsterdam during Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) have been cancelled, due to safety concerns.
Dutch promoter Audio Obscura posted the following message on their Facebook page, ahead of the three events previously scheduled for October 18th, 19th and 20th: “Due to newly revealed issues during the license application process beyond our control, we and the local authorities are not able to guarantee the safety at the Bijlmer prison anymore.
“Therefore we are forced to make the extremely difficult decision to cancel the Bijlmer prison events during Amsterdam Dance Event."
Honey Dijon and Seth Troxler were due to play on Thursday 18th October, with Speedy J and Rodhad on Friday, and Nina Kraviz and her трип label on the Saturday.
Audio Obscura had billed the events as follows: “While once a sinister location, for three nights Audio Obscura is transforming the Bijlmerbajes into an environment of joy, inclusivity and love for electronic music”.
Other Audio Obscura parties are still happening at ADE, at the Loft and Central Station amongst other venues.
