LISTEN TO SUCIU’S SUBLIME CUT OF MINIMIAL TECH, ‘TRANSLUCID’: PREMIERE

It lands via Substantia Nigra this week...

Suciu hits new Berlin-based techno label Substantia Nigra this week with ‘Translucid’. We’ve got the exclusive play of the track below.

The DJ/producer has recently established himself as a leading force in the current crop of young Romanian talents with tracks like ‘Alt Ctrl’, which landed via Tooloop earlier this year, as well as spinning at shows across the continent.

On ‘Translucid’, Suciu turns in a cut of minimal tech built on skittering percussion and an underlying driving energy in just over 11 minutes of sublime production.

Speaking about the new label, co-founder Alexandru Andreianu, said, “Combining music and artwork into a trippy reverie, Substantia Nigra is a vinyl-only label based in Berlin.

“As the name suggests, it focuses on the dark side of music, concentrating on minimalistic and experimental techno that fits the label’s theme.”

We envisage big things for both Suciu and Substantia Nigra in 2017. Check out why by listening to the exclusive premiere of ‘Translucid’ below. You can purchase it via Red Eye Records, but move fast, as this one’s strictly limited.
