Premiere: Perel 'Monteiro Da Costa'

Perel makes her Uncanny Valley debut with the 'Karlsson' EP. Check out the shimmering, synth-laden cut 'Monteiro Da Costa' now...

Berlin-based Perel, real name Annegret Fiedler, makes her debut on Uncanny Valley this June with four-track EP, 'Karlsson', named after the DJ and producer's very own tomcat.

The EP includes original tracks 'Karlsson' and 'Monteiro Da Costa', with two remixes of the title cut coming courtesy of Bloody Mary and Kim Ann Foxman.

With dreamy, cosmic synths reminiscent of Todd Terje and Lindstrøm productions, 'Monteiro Da Costa' is a disco-esque production for the new age, fusing endlessly urgent beats with Perel's discernable vocal cuts for a "paranoid love letter to Perel’s best friend and a lesson in causing dance mania".

Check out 'Monteiro Da Costa' below. Also, take a look at that artwork, featuring Karlsson himself.
