Mykki Blanco will headline Somerset House Studios' third birthday celebrations in London on 4th October.

The US-born rapper, poet, spoken word artist and activist tops a bill including Chicks On Speed, a new collaboration between visual artist Sam Williams and musician Roly Porter, entitled 'Salvage Rhythms', alongside residents Anna Mikkola, Paul Purgas and rkss.

Blanco— who has previously worked with the likes of Kanye West, Madonna and Diplo collaborator Charli XCX and used his 2017  'Hideaway' video as a platform to confront the stigma surrounding HIV and AIDS— is currently holding down a residency at Somerset House Studios. His next album is expected to arrive in 2020.

Somerset House Studios was established in 2016 as an experimental workspace, connecting creatives with audiences. The likes of Beatrice Dillon, Anna Meredith and GAIKA are among the artists that call the address home.
