WEHBBA returns to Systematic Recordings tomorrow (Friday 25th November) with his ‘Systematic Shades Vol. 2’ EP. We’ve got the exclusive play of ‘Moonrise’ from it below.
The first in the Brazilian producer’s ‘Systematic Shades’ EP series landed last year, with the second installment bringing three new tracks that move through deep grooves and heavy kicks.
Speaking about the release, WEHBBA told DJ Mag, “Every track on my ‘Systematic Shades’ is inspired by a painting. ‘Moonrise’ is from a Polish painter, called Stanisław Masłowski, which has a dark theme but somehow inspires hope, and subtly makes you take a glimpse into the future in an uplifting way, while still retaining a dark atmosphere.
“That’s the kind of vibe I’ve tried to accomplish with the elements on the track, balancing futuristic and uplifting elements with dark ones, though a steady rhythmic section that bring these elements together.”
