Galcher Lustwerk announces new album, ‘Information’, on Ghostly

The US artist also plays the label's 20th anniversary parties in New York, San Francisco, Chicago and Detroit...

Galcher Lustwerk has announced a new album, ‘Information’, on Ghostly International.

The LP is the third to come from the US producer, who has put out one long form per year so far— 2017's 'Dark Bliss' and '200% Galcher' in 2018.

"Being from the Midwest and with Ghostly putting it out, I think it's fitting to pull together my most Midwest-minded, 'hookier' tracks," Lustwerk said. "I wanted to capture a bittersweet quality that I hear in a lot of other Cleveland producers."

Now based in New York, Lustwerk will also play Ghostly's 20th anniversary parties, which hit The Midway San Francisco (28th September), Elsewhere Brooklyn (5th October), Chicago Smartbar (19th October) and TV Lounge in Detroit (16th November).

'Information' marks the US producer's debut on the much-lauded Ghostly label, which specialises in experimental electronic pop and techno tones. Hence providing a home to the likes of Matthew Dear, Tycho and DJ Mag favourite Ciel. In 2017 the crew even went so far as to create a bespoke instrument, Ghostly Zoots— a modern take on the African thumb piano, or kalimba.
