Kraftwerk to headline Bluedot festival in 2019

Krautrock pioneers' 3D show will close UK festival which takes place from 18th - 21st July...

Electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk will close Bluedot, the festival which takes places  from July 18-21st at Cheshire’s Jodrell Bank Observatory.

They’re the first headliners announced for the fourth edition of the music, science and culture event which has previous welcomed the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Pixies, The Flaming Lips, Underworld and Jean-Michel Jarre, as well as talks from celebrated scientists Brian Cox, Richard Dawkins, Alice Roberts and Dallas Campbell. Kraftwerk’s 3D show combines their highly influential back catalogue, which is widely cited as a huge influence on early techno and electro, with 3D visuals. It’s their first UK festival headline appearance having played a limited number of sold out UK theatre shows and special appearances at the Bilbao Guggenheim, New York’s Museum of Modern Art and London’s Tate Modern Turbine Hall.

The first wave of bluedot artist will be announced in January 2019.
