KiNK, Floating Points, Peggy Gou, more set to play inner city electronic 2018

20 hours of events, talks, masterclasses and showcases...

inner city electronic, a brand-new, multi-venue festival set over the city of Leeds on Saturday 2nd June, has locked in KiNK, Floating Points, Peggy Gou and more for its launch this summer.

The festival involves a range of electronic music with a collection of live and DJ sets. Artists Joy Orbison, Midland, and Andrew Weatherall will play with more to be announced.

The concept includes 11 iconic venues, daytime talks, and masterclasses with artists. In addition, there will be technology showcases, art exhibitions and forums, where aspiring artists can get their tracks heard.

Expect spaces such as Church, Headrow House, Wire, Hi-Fi, Belgrave Music Hall, Distrikt, Hope House, Hyde Park Book Club, Old Red Bus Station, Sheaf St, and The Wardrobe to be involved, with capacities of 1200 to 120.

Young local promoter Ben Thompson, creator of the project, wanted to showcase the incredible arts, event spaces and music on offer in the city. Joining him in the new venture are curator Ralph Lawson (20/20 Vision) and producer Ben Robinson (Bluedot Festival).

There will be day parties across four outdoor terraces along with 15 different dancefloors for the all-night events, with Sub Dub and Cosmic Slop bringing custom built soundsystems for their parties.

Stay updated through the inner city electronic Facebook page, full workshop details announced next month. Tickets can be found here.
