Jeff Mills announces vinyl reissue of 'The Bells'

The sixth chapter in the techno hero's Axis Records series, 'The Director's Cut'

Jeff Mills has announced that a reissue of his classic 1997 cut, ‘The Bells’ will be released on vinyl, dropping via his own Axis Records on Friday 6th December.

The three track EP forms the sixth chapter in the techno legend's series, 'The Director's Cut', and features the original track, 'Blue Potential', which was first performed during a landmark collaboration with the Montpellier Philharmonic Orchestra, now seeing its first ever vinyl release, and a brand new interpretation, The Homosapien Sapiens Version.

The news follows Mills' 'Sight, Sound and Space' triple album, which arrived in October. This year the Detroit-born innovator delivered a live score to 'Woman In The Moon', a 1929 silent film by the revered sci-fi pioneer Fritz Lang, the latest in a long list of moments that have defined the DJ and producer's career
