Isle of MTV Malta Music Week announces Alesso and Acraze for 2023 edition

Isle of MTV Malta Music Week has announced new names for its 2023 edition.

Now in its 15th year, Europe’s biggest free summer festival will return to Malta’s Il-Fosos Square on 18th July, alongside various other Music Week events taking place across the island. Amongst those joining the bills for the festival and wider Music Week events are Swedish electronic titan, Alesso – fresh off the release of his second single of the summer – and American DJ, Acraze.

Also joining the festival line-up is English singer-songwriter, Tom Grennan, who first gained attention for his Chase & Status collaboration, ‘All Goes Wrong’, in 2017. All sets will be broadcast on MTV internationally on 15th September across more than 150 countries.

Clayton Bartolo, Malta’s Minister for Tourism, said: “Isle of MTV has always been of great importance for Malta as it not only brings together thousands of music fans from all over Europe but is a sterling platform to showcase the island’s unique and vibrant entertainment scene.”

“In conjunction with renowned names in the music world, it offers a fantastic opportunity for Maltese artists to exhibit their talents on the international stage which in turn promotes Maltese culture and helps to enhance the island’s rich artistic heritage,” he continued.

Fans can continue the party after the festival with an exclusive after-party at Gianpula Village, Malta’s premier nightlife resort. The festival also will be preceded by Isle of MTV Malta Music Week, a series of club nights and parties across multiple venues on the island, from July 18th-23rd July.  

Over its 14 editions, Isle of MTV Malta has seen some of the biggest names in electronic music descend on the festival square, including David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, and Marshmello.
