Hyperdub to give 100% of Bandcamp sales directly to their artists impacted by coronavirus this month

Kode 9's label is also asking fans to make the most of Bandcamp's fee-free Friday

Hyperdub will give 100% of Bandcamp sales directly to the artists impacted by coronavirus this month.

The London label, run by Kode 9, made the announcement this afternoon via Twitter. The post also encouraged fans to make the most of Bandcamp's own offer to waive fees this Friday 20th March, which will further add to what artists take home.

Many artists have already been significantly affected by the outbreak of coronavirus, and the COVID-19 disease it causes, not least due to the cancellation of events and festivals across the world. Record labels have not been shielded, either, with Hyperdub warning that shipping of products will now only happen once a week in a bid to reduce costs and save jobs.
