Legendary producer looks back on his label's 25-year history...
Ahead of his performance at Mamby on the Beach on 24th June, Chicago's Green Velvet is the star of a new documentary that explores the history of Velvet's Relief Records on its 25 year anniversary and how his hometown of Chicago has shaped his diverse musical output.
The 9-minute documentary sees Green Velvet — real name Curtis Alan Jones — takes a trip down memory lane where he discusses some of his label's biggest moments over the years.
The likes of MGMT, Local Natives, Walk the Moon, Cut Copy, Tchami, Justin Martin and Flying Lotus will all be gracing the stages at Mamby on the Beach across the festivals two days this June.
