Gesaffelstein announces new album, 'Gamma', shares trailer: Watch

Gesaffelstein has shared details of his third studio album, 'Gamma'.

Set for release on Friday, 29th March via Columbia, it features 11 new tracks by the French producer, and sees him continue to develop the gritty, industrial sound that became his staple across the records 'Aleph' and 'Hyperion'.

The album also comes with a closely developed visual campaign developed by director and cinematographer Jordan Hemingway (whose past credits include work with FKA twigs, Gucci and Acne Studios) in close collaboration with Gesaffelstein himself.

Rumours that the artist had been working on his third album have been circulating for some time, initially sparked by a tweet shared by Skrillex last year. “Gesaffelstein’s just played us his new album my gaaawd,” the LA-based DJ and producer shared in March, having recently resurfaced with his own first music in years.

The album arrives off the back of Gesaffelstein's production work in recent years for the likes of The Weeknd, Pharrell Williams and, most recently, Lil Nas X.

You can watch a trailer for 'Gamma', made by Hemingway and Gesaffelstein, below.

It was announced in January that the French artist would be returning to Coachella festival this April for the first time since 2019. You can watch his full set from that festival here.
