Festival celebrating ‘90s and ‘00s dance music to take place in Manchester this year

The event will take place in a yet-to-be-revealed location this May

A new festival celebrating dance music from the ‘90s and ‘00s will take place in Manchester this summer.

Flashback Festival, organised by Dance Generation, will be taking place at a yet-to-be-confirmed location in central Manchester on Saturday 21st May 2022.

An Instagram post from the festival reads, “from Euphoric Trance to Clubland Classics, Retro House to Groovin’ Garage and everything in between, join us as we take over Manchester this May!”

While the line-up is yet to be released, it will feature over 60 artists spread across four stages. According to The Manc, the main stage will be a huge open-air set up incorporating special effects, lasers and pyrotechnics, while a big top arena will be hosted by a well-known party organiser.

As well as offering classic old-school rave anthems and club bangers, the one-day-only event will have a VIP bar, fairground rides and an official after party.

Another brand new festival, Flesh —  the UK’s first LGBTQ+ electronic music festival —  will be taking place in St Albans on 28th and 29th May 2022. This week, London's GALA Festival also confirmed the final names set to play its 2022 edition this July.
