The independent station celebrates four years on air on 12th December

Dublin Digital Radio will celebrate four years on air this month with a 24-hour audiovisual livestream and the release of a new compilation.

Since launching in 2016, the independent station has become one the most vital cornerstones for Ireland’s burgeoning underground music scenes. From midnight on Saturday 12th December, the station will broadcast DJ sets, live performances, experimental pieces, conversations and more, direct from its spiritual home home of Jigsaw, Mountjoy Square, in Dublin’s North Inner City, Cork’s Rebel Reads and ddr’s studio in The Complex.

The virtual event, titled Four Waves, will feature contributions and performances from the likes of R.Kitt, Fears, Sim Simma, Ngoni Egan, Eliza, Moving Still,  and more. Tune in live on Dublin Digital Radio

The event is free, but you can purchase a “pay what you like” ticket via Eventbrite or donate to Dublin Digital Radio’s PayPal to ensure that artists and contributors are paid.

Dublin Digital Radio will also release its third compilation this month, featuring 18 tracks from residents and friends of the station including Clíona Ní Laoi, Belaqua, Deadly Buzz Aldrin, Repeater & Yemi and more. You’ll be able to pre-order the compilation through Dublin Digital Radio’s Bandcamp from this Friday, 4th December.
