DJ EZ to donate tour proceeds to Australian bushfire charities

The UK garage don will play three gigs in Australia and New Zealand next month

DJ EZ will donate the proceeds from his upcoming Australian and New Zealand tour to raise money for the Australian bushfire charities.

The UK Garage don will play three shows at the end of next month including Auckland Splore Festival on 21st February, Sydney Electric Gardens on 22nd February and Melbourne Electric Gardens on 23rd February.

Money raised from the short run of shows will go towards two charities: Australian Red Cross and NSW Wildlife Information Rescue and Education Service (WIRES).

“These fantastic charity organisations work tirelessly, dedicating their time and energy supporting those who have been affected,” he says in a press release.

“Sending out lots of love to all the kind and courageous people that have been helping!”

It's not the first time DJ EZ has raised money for good causes - in 2016 he raised nearly £60,000 for Cancer Research UK after performing a live marathon 24 hour non-stop set.

Last year he revived his techno and house alias, Elvin Zedo, which was originally conceived back in 2004.

Earlier this week, London club The Cause announced that they will run three charity parties in February, including a 19-hour rave, to raise $50,000 for the Australian bushfire crisis.
