Denis Sulta and DJ Mag launch DJ & Production scholarship in association with Point Blank

The scholarship is open to disabled applicants in the UK

Denis Sulta

Denis Sulta and DJ Mag are launching a DJ & production scholarship in association with Point Blank.

As part of Point Blank's Future S.T.A.R.S. scholarships, bursaries and funds — which aim to nurture talent as well as provide access to higher education for specific under-represented groups — the Glaswegian DJ, producer and Sulta Selects label head will be supporting an applicant on the BA (Hons) in Music Production and DJ Practice course.

With an aim to provide musical education to all, this specific scholarship will be open to disabled applicants in the UK, especially those who feel that they face difficulties when accessing the music scene due to their disability. The value of the Denis Sulta and DJ Mag Future S.T.A.R.S. scholarship is £9,250 per year for three years, in the form of a fee-waiver.

To apply for the scholarship, apply for the BA (Hons) in Music Production and DJ Practice and submit a scholarship application in the form of a CV and Cover Letter (two sides A4 maximum) via [email protected]. Applicants with accessibility needs can contact Point Blank for assistance with their application.

All cover letters should include the following:

  • The name of the scholarship you are applying for
  • Your name and full contact details (including application number if available)
  • The reason you are applying and should be selected for the scholarship
  • Highlights of your relevant musical experience (professional or personal)
  • Links to your artist social media profiles (Soundcloud, YouTube, Insta etc.)
  • Links to video/audio clips showcasing your strongest music and/or mix

The deadline for applications is Tuesday 31st August. If you are selected as a finalist, you will be invited to attend a virtual interview with Denis Sulta between 6th September and 23rd September. A scholarship winner will be contacted and officially announced on 24th September, with the course commencing on the 4th October 2021.
