Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter shares new track from solo album: Listen

Thomas Bangalter has shared the first track from his 'Mythologies' ballet score. Listen to 'L’Accouchement' below.

It's the first time those who could not see the Angelin Preljocaj ballet performed live in France last summer can listen to a full piece from the score. Until now, fans could only hear clips of the orchestral music via a Euro News segment from July 2022.

The 90-minute album version of the 'Mythologies' score will be released on 7th April via Warner Music. The 23 tracks take influence from Baroque music and American minimalism and do not incorporate electronic production tools and machinery. The music is performed by the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine, under the direction of Romain Dumas.

'Mythologies' is Bangalter's first solo album since the split of Daft Punk in February 2021. It's his second solo score release following the 2002 soundtrack 'Irréversible', for Gaspar Noé's film of the same name. Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo scored 2010's 'Tron: Legacy' and released it as a Daft Punk album, plus a later remix LP.

Listen to 'L’Accouchement'.
