Daft Punk release ‘Random Access Memories’ drumless edition: Listen
It marks the culmination of the 10th-year anniversary celebration of the pair's fourth and final studio album
Daft Punk have released a drumless version of 'Random Access Memories'.
The legendary French electronic duo, who split in 2021, released 'Random Access Memories (Drumless Edition)' on Friday, 17th November.
Including two previously released drumless editions of 'Within' and 'Motherboard,' the album - which strips away all drum and percussive elements from the release - marks the culmination of the 10th-year anniversary celebration of the pair's fourth and final studio album. Stream it in full below.
The release is part of Daft Punk's 'Memory Tapes' content series, which has recently included the duo sharing footage of the first time Pharrell Williams heard his two contributions to 'Random Access Memories,' 'Get Lucky' and 'Lose Yourself To Dance'.
In a previous installment in the series, Todd Edwards discussed working with Daft Punk on their 2001 album 'Discovery', as well as on 'Random Access Memories'. Daft Punk also marked the anniversary with an extended reissue, featuring 35 minutes of bonus material, earlier this year.
Last month, a representative for Daft Punk denied rumours that the duo will reunite at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
