Cormac’s new podcast, Queerly Beloved, explores LGBTQIA+ dance music’s past and present: Listen

Cormac is hosting a new podcast called Queerly Beloved that dives into queer music history and shares personal stories of key LGBTQIA+ artists. Listen to the debut episodes below.

On Queerly Beloved, the Northern Irish DJ artist, Polari label head and queer health advocate will examine dance music's queer roots and community history and celebrate the scene at present. Episodes will feature an interview with a noted LGBTQIA+ artist or ally about formative moments in music and life, creative processes, favourite tracks and more. The first two guests are The xx's Romy and Hercules & Love Affair's Andy Butler, with conversations with Lakuti, Josh Caffé, Peaches, Planningtorock, Fat Tony, fka.m4a and Kim Ann Foxman to come.

"I hope that by telling our individual queer stories, we can find common ground to remember and practice being a community," Cormac wrote on Instagram

Episodes of Queerly Beloved will be released every two weeks from today, 9th January, accompanied by playlists of featured tracks. It's available on Amazon Music, Apple Podcast, Spotify, SoundCloud and YouTube — find more information and links to playlists here.

In August 2022, Cormac participated in a panel hosted by Berlin's Embassy of Ireland about club culture and licensing policy alongside fellow Irish artists Sunil Sharpe and ELLLL.
