The Cause announces 19-hour rave to support those affected by Australian bush fires
Three parties will take place in February
London club The Cause are running three parties in February, including a 19-hour rave, to raise $50,000 for the Australian bushfire crisis.
Coming together with promoters Bizarro and Percolate, the Tottenham institute will throw the First Nation Fire Relief party on February 8th, running from 1PM until 8AM the following day.
The main room will welcome George Fitzgerald, Fred P AKA Black Jazz Consortium, Hammer, nd_Baumecker, and Man Power, as well as an unannounced special guest.
Moving into Grow, an unannounced headline B2B will take place, alongside Leon Vynehall, who plays B2B with DEBONAIR, Budino, Kyle Monologue, and Fiscal Cliff.
The Garage will host three unnanounced headliners, as well as Machine Woman, who plays live, Aquariun, Gigi FM, and more. There will be yet another secret headliner in Barbers, with Subb-an and Robert James also slated for sets.
Arts Exchange and Rum Bar will welcome the likes of Krywald & Farrer, Silverlining, and RAW SILK, with all funds from the mammoth party donated to the Fire Relief Fund for First Nations Communities, and WIRES Wildlife Rescue Organisation.
The two remaining fundraisers will take place on the 14th and 22nd of February, with a drum & bass and UKG party, and the likes of DJ Spoony, Heartless Crew, and One Man respectively.
Stuart Glen, co-founder of The Cause says "A lot of people reached out to us to help. Due to the last minute extension of our building, we had gaps in the diary and brought all our resources together. It feels great to strike back against all odds with such a ridiculously heavy line-up whilst simultaneously making a big chunk for organisations that need help. Having raised £12K in a fundraiser last December with Four Tet and Jamie xx (split between Hackney Winter Night Shelter & Mind in Haringey), with this show hosting a bigger capacity, I genuinely feel we can smash our $50K target, especially now we have three shows."

This is the latest effort on the part of the electronic music community to raise much-needed funds to fight bushfires that have been raging across Australia since mid-December. Or:la announced a new charity compilation on Céad, with proceeds going to County Fire Authority, and Alison Wonderland has pledged all revenue from her online store to the bushfire crisis. Nina Las Vegas, Mall Grab, Logic1000 and DJ Plead are just some of the artists who have also thrown weight behind the cause.
