Bicep nominated for two Brit Awards

The duo are up against the likes of Arlo Parks, Young T & Bugsey and The 1975 in two categories

Bicep have been nominated for two Brit Awards.

The Northern Irish live and DJ duo, who released their second album 'Isles' via Ninja Tune in January this year and achieved UK chart success, have been nominated for two awards at this year's Brits.

Bicep have been nominated for the best British Group award, and despite releasing their debut EP in 2010, have recieved a second nomination for best Breakthrough Artist, alongside singer-songwriters Arlo Parks and Celeste, as well as MCs Young T & Bugsey and DJ/producer Joel Corry.

Elsewhere in the Brits, Dua Lipa has been nominated for Mastercard Album Of The Year ‘Future Nostalgia’, and is up against Arlo Parks and J Hus, with Run The Jewels recieving a nod for best International Group, and the likes of AJ Tracey, Burna Boy, The Weeknd and Cardi B nominated in various solo categories.

This year's postponed ceremony will take place on Tuesday the 11th May at London's O2 arena. You can check out the full list of nominees here.

Last year, Bicep scooped the award for Best Track for their first album single 'Atlas' in DJ Mag's Best of British Awards.
