24-hour festival Inner City Electronic returns for a third year

DJ Mag will partner with the Leeds-based music festival and conference

Inner City Electronic has announced the festival acts for its 2020 event, which takes place in multiple venues across Leeds on Saturday 7th March 2020.

South Korean house star Peggy Gou will headline the festival, returning after playing the now closed Church venue in the festival’s first year. Iconic UK sibling duo Orbital also join as headliners, and others set to play include A Love From Outer Space (aka Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston), Craig Richards b2b Nicolas Lutz, Young Marco, Or:la, Surgeon, Identified Patient, HAAi, Mr. Scruff, and Meat Free residents Blasha & Allatt.

The event will once again feature a daytime conference with panels and talks from key figures from the industry — including figures from DJ Mag, who partner with the festival for the first time this year — and music tech workshops and showcases.

Now in its third year, Inner City Electronic is expanding to take over more iconic Leeds institutions. Along with returning to small independents like Wire and Sheaf St., events will be hosted at Leeds College of Music, the Leeds University Refectory and the iconic Corn Exchange, which has only hosted one music event since its heyday in the ‘90s. “Since our inception we’ve always wanted to be integrated with the fabric of the city, iconic institutions such as The Corn Exchange and The Refectory give us the opportunity to work with places that have rich musical heritage but are now rarely used for events of this nature,” says Inner City Electronic’s Ben Thompson. “It’s great to have the opportunity to use such historic buildings for a contemporary event like Inner City Electronic.”
