Ever consistent London-based experimental label, ALTER, will release a new compilation ‘ALERT!’ on 19th April.
Following a superb recent release from recent DJ Mag interviewee Christoph de Babalon, and ahead of a new LP from UK metal outfit, Hey Colossus, the label has assembled 15 artists to contribute to the genre-defying LP.
From cavernous ambience to off-kilter rhythmic cuts, contributions come from the likes of Teresa Winter, Anna Peaker, Tomaga, recent DJ Mag cover star Mumdance and more. Below, you can hear the compilation’s glimmering, ambient closer from one of our acts to watch for 2019, Manchester’s Space Afrika.
“If anything,” reads the album’s liner notes “We can agree on the fact that this double LP stands to highlight the fringes of carefree convention defying abstract electronics that currently permeate our little island in an illuminating and necessary way.”
