Premiere: SHALT ‘Goss’

SHALT launches new label, REMADE, to “push more experimental sounds and structures in club environments”. Hear the rumbling groove and swooping bass of its opening track, ‘Goss’ now

SHALT has launched a new label, REMADE, in the hope of pushing “more experimental sounds and structures in club environments”.

The label’s debut EP, ‘Body Mirage’, comes from the London-based producer himself, and comprises three cuts of exquisitely designed electronics, retaining a rhythmic dancefloor precision beneath their sweeping, widescreen production.  It follows SHALT’s recent releases on Astral Plane Recordings, as well a string of self-released club-ready pop edits, ‘ʃælt’ i, ii and iiI, with all proceeds from his own Bandcamp going to Black Socialists in America

Much like on his previous releases, SHALT takes rhythmic cues from dancehall and dembow, while organic percussive sounds pierce through the EP’s sizzling electronic sounds. You can hear the EP’s opener, ‘Goss’, with its rumbling groove and swooping bass maneuvers, below.

‘Body Mirage’ is out this Friday 30th October. Pre-order it here.
