Aquarian and Deapmash return as AQXDM this month for their Houndstooth debut, ‘Infrared’.
The five track EP, written and recorded between the aritsts’ respective studios in Berlin and Caen, has already garnered support from the likes of Skee Mask, Call Super and Aphex Twin, who can be seen dropping the EP’s title track in Printworks here.
‘Infrared’ pushes the sonic frontiers of rave, jungle and techno with monumental results, drawing from the wells of each genre’s history, but creating something that is futuristic and forward-thinking. Everything from the title track’s incendiary beat and sizzling distortion to the extradimensional breakbeat of ‘Leisure Techno’ marks this as one of the most thrilling club EPs of the year.
