Sapphist Eye is set to release her debut solo EP, ‘Another Side’, via CHLOÉ’s Lumiere Noire. Have an exclusive first listen to Club Tularosa’s remix of ‘Seedy Streets’ below.

Following collaborations with Lesbian collective Barbi(e)turix and France’s Les Disques du Lobby label (alongside Naominitel), the Parisian producer continues to carve out her EBM-infused techno sound on a solo release for Lumiere Noire.

Across three mercurial club tracks, Sapphist Eye taps into the supernatural energy of the night – “a time of metamorphosis and (re)birth” – casting labyrinthine vocal lines and cosmic techno flourishes over rigid machine grooves.

Opener ‘Seedy Streets’ slowly unravels into a heady EBM-techno hybrid, whilst ‘Chorus Ensemble’ harks to krautrock’s heyday with swathes of percolating, 80s-styled synths. On the flip, the Parisian cranks up the industrial tension on the squelching B1, ‘Nothing’, before Californian duo Club Tularosa serve up a twisted, post-punk-infused refit of ‘Seedy Streets’.

To celebrate the EP release, Sapphist Eye will be opening for CHLOÉ at Rex Club, in Paris alongside DJ Hell on 2nd March. Tickets are available here.
