Premiere: Gipsyan ‘Liquid Architect’
Montpellier-based producers Gipsyan and Pura Pura join forces on four cross-pollinated club workouts for RONI’s Nezha Records
Gipsyan and Pura Pura have linked up on a new EP, ‘Nocto Vea’, out later this week. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘Liquid Architect’ below.
The project – out 16th February via RONI’s Nezha Records – finds the Montpellier-based artists slaloming from twinkling trance and breakbeat to rowdy dubstep, bass, jungle and beyond in a link-up made in hybrid heaven. Across four tracks, the producers channel the dancefloor NRG of solo releases for European labels Monstart, Omakase, Contre Jour, and beyond, resulting in four eccentric cross-pollinated movers.
High-octane trance meets drill on collaborative title track ‘Nocto Vea’ – a tribute to the feeling of relief when you enter the rave – whilst Pura Pura’s ‘Hadale Zone’ nods to juke and jungle with its warm, oscillating rave rhythms. Gipsyan’s solo offering, ‘Liquid Architect’ is similarly hypnotic, flowing between wobbly dubstep and acid-soaked trance in an ode to life’s sustaining substance.
“Artistically, I wanted the track to be liquid, to follow a natural evolution like water, and for its structure to be intelligent and spontaneous,” the French producer shared on the cut. “It’s not an introspective work, but rather one of enjoying and letting go.”

Last summer, Nehza Records – the Paris-based label run by French producer RONI – released a new 10-track compilation themed around water. Amongst its stellar roster of contributors were Jossy Mitsu, Angel D’lite, Flore, and SAYANG.
