Carré will release a new EP, ‘Soft Fascination’, via Fast At Work later this week. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘Cute Mad’ below.

Breaking in the LA party series’ new label leg, the five-track project features a trio of tracks from co-founder and resident Carré, alongside remixes from Priori and James Bangura on the flip. ‘Soft Fascination’ is set to land on 1st March, following Carré’s debut EP, ‘Tilted’, which arrived on SPE:C last year, as well as her contribution to UFO Parfums’ 15-track ‘165 BPMs’ compilation, ‘How to Cause a Distraction’.

In line with the label’s mantra of ‘fast not hard’, the EP swerves across an eclectic and hypnotic spectrum of high-BPM sounds, from wobbly UKG and breakbeat, to high-voltage house music. On the title track, the label head stitches broken beat percussion to some seriously burly low-end, whilst the bubblier B1, ‘Cute Mad’, offers respite in its cavernous sections of swirling deep house.

‘Cute Mad’ is the track off the EP that shows my softer side,” Carré told DJ Mag. “I actually produced it around the same time as ‘Glowing’ but never felt like they could fit together on a record until I finished ‘Soft Fascination’.”

“Each track really represents a different side of my sound and of Fast At Work,” she continued.

To celebrate the release, Fast At Work has announced its first run of parties for the 2024 season, commencing 6th April in their prodigal home of Los Angeles before spilling overseas in early May for its London return. Tickets are available here.

‘Soft Fascination’ is out 1st March via Fast At Work. Pre-order the EP here, and have an exclusive first listen to ‘Cute Mad’ below.
