Premiere: Blu:sh ‘AM PM’

Spray launches his new Punctuality imprint with four cuts of sizzling breaks and EBM heat from France’s Blu:sh

Blu:sh will release a new EP, ‘U is for U and me’, later this week. Have an exclusive first listen to ‘AM PM’ below.

Arriving via Punctuality – Berlin-based Irish DJ Spray’s new label for ‘dastard club elegies in the dark’ – the project hums with intense, rave pressure, combining precise nocturnal rhythms and bumping basslines across four cuts.

The French producer (AKA Benoit B and Terra Utopia) kicks things off with the tough and twisted ‘AM PM’ – where tunnelling rhythms are punctuated only by strange, maniacal laughter – before ‘Whirlwind Mindsets’ arrives in a haze of melodious bleeps and serrated textures.

‘Magnetized Your Soul’ doubles down on the discordance with deviant pads and a wonky wiggle, before sleazy romp ‘Pleasure Dome’ serves up leering subs atop a thunderous groove for downright dancefloor domination.

‘High In Cloud City’ seals the deal, channeling the the heads-down breaks sound of Blu:sh’s 2022 ‘Felt Cute’ EP for Kalahari Oyster Cult, and setting the tone for a bevy of high-octane sounds incoming on Punctuality.

The label arrives in the wake of Spray’s former eponymous label, which he called time on after the release of his ‘OT Rails’ EP. Other recent releases from Spray include remixes of Long Island Sound’s ‘Fracture’ and Demi Requisimo’s ‘The Force’.

‘U is for U and me’ is out via vinyl and digital on 12th April. Pre-order the EP here, and have an exclusive first listen to ‘AM PM’ below.
