“Music has always been very conversational for me,” Tarzsa told DJ Mag last year. The Manchester DJ and broadcaster’s flair for communicating uplifting vibes onto the dancefloor and over the airwaves has certainly kept her busy over the past 12 months. This summer alone, she played festivals and clubs including Lost Village, GALA, fabric, Ibiza’s DC-10 and Kala. Earlier in the year, she played De School in Amsterdam, joined Call Super for their residency at London’s Phonox, and represented her hometown at Warehouse Project’s Rotterdam takeover. She’s returned to WHP twice since, bringing her infectious energy and joyful selections with her, spinning everything from house, garage, disco and breaks to soul, jazz and R&B.
Her passion for sharing the music that “sets my soul on fire” with others has been equally present on radio. She’s continued to hold down her monthly NTS show, and has made a few appearances on BBC Radio 6 Music, including a Sweatbox mix as part of The Blessed Madonna Presents Jayda G show.
Earlier this month, she landed on Palms Trax’s CWPT label with a lush mixtape touching on jazz, house and breakbeat. “Getting the chance to make this mix over time means that I’ve really learned a lot about how music connects us and how there are absolutely no rules,” she said of the release. “Leading with feeling first, always.”

“Such a funky bassline on this track and I can’t help but play it on repeat. Pangaea’s Dekmantel Boiler Room is one I’ve always rinsed throughout my early 20s. This entire album is something else, and I will forever admire Pangaea’s density of style. Everyone needs to wrap their ears around this project.”
“Spiritual Japanese deep house track; a progressive build throughout. An incredible remix from Masalo. The Rush Hour Records crew have the best record collection. I managed to catch him at GALA festival alongside Kamma and it was a masterclass in setting the vibes for a day festival.”
“I was instantly hooked on this tune when I first heard it playing on a night out. Smooth vocals from Zoe Kypri which gives this track a real early ‘90s feel. The combination of the production from KingCrowney and Zoe Kypri’s voice is a perfect match for me. I’ve been opening my sets with this track more recently.”
“One of my favourite producers right now. I found this track on solo holiday in January listening intensely to his live cuts mix for Maslow Unknown. Sampling Common and Erykah Badu’s ‘The Light’ from the 2000s. He has given a soul sample a really nice electro feel. This track is always well received on the dancefloor. Siggatunez is one to watch!”

“Recently discovered Norwegian-born, Berlin-based producer, Telephones. This track has such a tropical feel and healing soundscape throughout. Played this a lot over summer; I adore the way it slowly builds up and has lots of nice layers to it.”

“Moving Still is an exciting producer from Dublin with a great sound. This track was released on the CWPT label last year. Moving Still further blends both his Saudi Arabian and Irish heritage on this original production and I’ve had the honour of playing alongside him at The White Hotel in my hometown of Manchester. He gives a true education on traditional Saudi rhythms with an electronic edge. He has provided various funky edits which are always included in my sets. His Boiler Room was also one of my favourite releases this year!”
