Red Axes and Simple Symmetry remix Autarkic on new Disco Halal EP

Autarkic’s stellar ‘I Love You, Go Away’ EP gets a sizzling makeover...

Red Axes and Simple Symmetry have remixed Tel Aviv-based Autarkic’s career jolting 2017 EP ‘I Love You, Go Away’ for Disco Halal.

Friends and collaborators who have each released on the label previously, this new remix EP is a match made in heaven and each re-work takes the eclectic, eccentric hardware energy of the original to give the tracks a distinct new flavour.

Psych-electronic giants Red Axes serve up a dancefloor ready re-interpretation of the original EP’s highlight, ‘Gibberish Love Song’ and a cavernous, minimal do-over of ‘Wipe The Shame Feat. Xen’. Meanwhile, Russian duo Simple Symmetry’s clattering remix of ‘Bongos & Tambourines’ is a new-wave infused belter that will be gracing dancefloor’s for months to come.

Disco Halal have been consistently blowing us away lately. Last month we premiered label head Moscoman’s marvellous ‘I Ran’ as well as a cut from emerging producer Kiwi’s ‘Mountains of Dew’ EP.

At the end of March, we caught up with Moscoman to learn more about the label’s remarkable evolution, ethos and future. He also delivered a superb hour long podcast mix. You can check all that out here.

‘I Love You, Go Away (Remixes)’ is out digitally on 4th May. Pre-order it here. Take a listen to the EP teasers below.
