Pacha NYC: One Year On

Pacha NYC will soon celebrate its first birthday. The club has been a major success said its owners.

When Pacha launched in New York last December some said it would fail, but 12 months on, Pacha has become one of the biggest and best clubs in the city, combining glamorous Ibizan values and New York style with top-notch dance music.

Unlike some of the other Pacha franchises around the world, Pacha in NYC has managed to replicate the flair and panache of the brand's spiritual superclub in Ibiza, by consistently providing quality cutting-edge club nights with decent guest DJs.

Over the past year, Danny Tenaglia, James Zabiela, Carl Cox, Lee Burridge and James Holden have all played at the club at 618 W. 46th Street and, like Ibiza, the club has been visited by celebrities and the champagne-glugging VIP set, as well as tens of thousands of clubbers.

Subliminal Records' boss Erick Morillo has been a club resident since the beginning and will on the decks all night long for their first birthday party on December 16th.

"Fantastic Year"

"This has been a fantastic first year for Pacha NYC," said Erick.

"I thought it would take over a year for Pacha to establish itself as the number one club in New York, but in just 10 months I believe it now dominates the New York club scene.

"Pacha NYC is home for me and I'm excited for its future."

Eddie Dean, one of the founders of Pacha New York commented: "It's been a very exciting year and the club keeps getting bigger and better.

"Pacha has been listed by some magazines as one of the top clubs in the world, which is a great achievement as we haven't been open that long."

Local Favourite

And Pacha's Danny Whittle added: "I am really pleased with what Eddie and the gang have done with the club in the first year.

Not only have they established it as an international venue, but it is a locals favourite too."
