Miami’s Electric Pickle will close down next year

A relocation could be on the cards...

Miami’s Electric Pickle will close down next year, a statement posted to the club's social media accounts has confirmed.

Management at the Florida institution‚ known as 'the little club that could', have confirmed they will not be renewing the lease on the address, meaning a decade-long era will come to an end in June 2019. However, a move to another location has not been ruled out.

"After much emotional deliberation, we felt it was only right to inform you all that we will not be renewing our lease at 2826 N. Miami Avenue," the statement reads. "It's been a crazy ride and we're not done yet. It's time for a change. We look forward to one more trip around the sun, filled with parties and memories."

The Electric Pickle is one of the most revered dancefloors in the US and due to its intimate size— 300 capacity— and booking policy it has long stood out in Miami, a city known for big room and big budget nightlife, not to mention the annual Ultra Music Festival. Past guests have included Maceo Plex, DJ Sprinkles, Optimo and Nicolas Jaar, to name but a few, and the venue appeared in our list of Incredible Clubs You've Probably Never Heard Of. As such we're expecting some special closing events when the time finally comes to say goodbye.

We're just gonna leave this right here... #pickleforever
